18. “The question of the Ḥuqúq dependeth on the willingness…”

The question of the Ḥuqúq dependeth on the willingness of the individuals themselves. From every true believer who is willing to tender the Right of God spontaneously and with the utmost joy and radiance, the offering is graciously acceptable, but not otherwise. Verily, thy Lord is independent of all mankind. Consider thou that which the All-Merciful hath revealed in the Qur’án: “O men! Ye are but paupers in need of God, but God is the Self-Sufficient, the All-Praised.” 1
At all times one must have the utmost regard for the dignity and honour of the Cause of God.
