To an individual believer

Dear ...:
You cannot imagine the great pleasure it gives me to acknowledge the receipt of your letter to Shoghi Effendi dated October l8th, 1929. It reminds me of those meetings I attended in Montreal and of the wonderful friendships I cultivated among its Bahá’í group.
Shoghi Effendi wants me to assure you of his prayers for he has great hopes in those young persons who do not let their worldly desires and needs stand in their way in serving the movement and spreading its teachings. He hopes that in due time your numbers will increase and you will count among your group youthful souls who are determined to work for the inauguration of the era of peace and goodwill.
Shoghi Effendi hopes that you will not merely interest the young people that come to your meetings, but that you will also exert your efforts in awakening them to the full import and station of Bahá’u’lláh, for it is only by coming in touch with the source of light and inspiration that a soul can appreciate the full significance of the Cause. The task is surely harder but the fruits will be so much greater.
Please convey Shoghi Effendi’s love and greetings to all the friends especially those of the young people who are working with you.
