As to the Ḥuqúq, it is payable on whatever is left over
after deducting one’s yearly expenses. However, any money or possession
which is necessary in producing income for one’s subsistence, and on
which Ḥuqúq hath once been paid, is exempt from
Ḥuqúq. This exemption also applieth to a property on
which Ḥuqúq hath already been paid, and the income of
which doth not exceed one’s needs…. Disposition of the
Ḥuqúq, wholly or partly, is permissible, but this
should be done by permission of the authority in the Cause to whom all
must turn.
