Regarding your question on the subject of holding the usual
festivals during this year when we are mourning the loss of
the Greatest Holy Leaf; inasmuch as Shoghi Effendi has not
yet returned from his summer vacations I cannot put your
question to him and answer you immediately. The friends in
America, however, who were confronted with the same
problem, put to him the same question by telegram. I could,
therefore, do no better than send you a copy of Shoghi
