Letter of 4 May 1927

To an individual believer

Dear Bahá’í Friend,
Shoghi Effendi desires me to thank you very much for your letter mailed April 14, 1927.
He is so glad to hear all that you tell him of your visit and of the inspiration it has been to you, and he earnestly hopes that, as you say, “” the way will be opened for you to make another visit when he may have the pleasure of meeting you face to face.
He is truly grieved to hear of the serious accident which befell your little daughter, and he prays that no ill-consequences may arise from it. He has been thinking very much of the Convention held for the first time in Montreal, and is hoping that it will bring about great results which will be of much benefit for the progress of our beloved Cause.
He will pray at the Holy Shrines for you and your family, and the dear friends around you, that you may receive abundantly the Divine blessing and guidance in all the efforts you are making to attract souls to this heavenly Light. The Greatest Holy Leaf and the Holy Family send you their warm love and greetings.

To feel that such an ardent, enlightened and devoted soul is tirelessly engaged in diffusing the Spirit of the Faith in that land is a great relief and encouragement to me. I too deplore my inability to meet you face to face at the Beloved’s home. My thoughts however were directed to your needs and wishes during your stay in Haifa, and I will continue to pray for you from the depths of my grateful heart, that the Beloved may guide you, comfort you, sustain you and pour upon you His rich and manifold blessings. Hoping to meet you some day in the not distant future,
